The City of Shenandoah is beginning a number of projects in 2023 that will bring changes to all areas of the city.  In order to help you plan travel needs,  as well as keep you informed on the progress, the website will now feature "Construction Zone."

Vision Park Pond Phase I – Excavation

This phase consisted of the excavation and expansion of the detention pond. It increased the stormwater storage capacity on the west side of the City by hauling over 92,000 cubic yards of excavated material from the pond to reach the final grade. This phase achieved completion last month.

Final Construction Cost was $934,567.48

Vision Park Pond Phase II: Amenity

This phase focuses on the amenity aspect of the pond. It consists of the addition of two bridges, a sidewalk that will create a full loop around the pond, a retaining wall block on the south end and landscaping. The project is estimated to achieve completion by January- February of next year.

Estimated Final Construction Cost: $2,234,889.00
