We would like to announce the start of a new David Memorial Roadway Extension project phase in the Construction Zone.
This project will extend David Memorial Dr to Conroe’s City limits; the road will ultimately connect to TX-242 and open a new traffic route for local traffic allowing drivers to avoid using IH-45 for their local commutes. It will alleviate the I-45 feeder road congestion during peak hours and create a new evacuation route during natural disasters since the IH-45 feeder is known to flood in this area. The new road will improve daily commutes for residents in Conroe, Tamina, Oak Ridge North, The Woodlands Township and Shenandoah, and it will create easier and faster access to major institutional facilities such as the Houston Methodist Hospital, Oak Ridge High School and commercial establishments.
