Civic Club Selects July Yard of the Month

The brutal heat we are experiencing this summer has proved to be damaging to people, pets and plants. But Shenandoah residents aren't letting the heat get them down. They are spending time in their yards and their efforts are showing as you drive through the residential areas. Even many of the backyards are oases from the heat.

The Civic Club's July Yard of the Month, 110 Bella Luce, is the second home of Antoine Nour and his wife, Dr. Jocelyne Saikali. Lebanon natives, the couple split their time between their Shenandoah home and a home in Louisiana. Dr. Saikali, who has an active medical practice in Louisiana, calls their Shenandoah home her "resting place."  The couple moved here in 2013 and enjoy walking in the city parks, riding their bikes in the area and visiting with their neighbors.  Both said that they love the fact that so many people take pride in their yards and homes here, making it a beautiful place to live and relax.  You can tell the couple finds peace in their "resting place!"  Congratulations on a beautifully manicured yard.
