The City of Shenandoah is beginning a number of projects in 2023 that will bring changes to all areas of the city. In order to help you plan travel needs, as well as keep you informed on the progress, the website will now feature "Construction Zone."
The rehabilitation consists of bypass pumping, upsizing the submerged and aboveground piping and the replacement of valves, the main control panel, terminal boxes, pipe supports and other miscellaneous items inside the wet well. The Research Forest Lift Station is a critical lift station within our City as it handles the sewage from the Valley and the businesses south of Research Forest. The lift station has been in service since the '70s, and this rehab will prolong its usage for many years.
