Construction Zone carousel (JPG)

The City of Shenandoah is beginning a number of projects in 2023 that will bring changes to all areas of the city.  In order to help you plan travel needs,  as well as keep you informed on the progress, the website will now feature "Construction Zone."

Asbestos Cement Pipe (ACP) Replacement

Total project cost:  $860,000

The Asbestos Cement Pipe (ACP) replacement for drinking water has been completed. This project replaced over 4,000 linear feet of old water line with new PVC piping and replaced old fire hydrants. This improves the quality of the city’s water distribution system and puts the City closer to meeting a goal of replacing all ACP on the system by 2025.
