Boo-Tastic!

Halloween 2022

We had almost a month of ghoulish yards and spooky decorations. Halloween night's parade had many great backgrounds for trick-or-treating. While we had a really significant number of outstanding Halloween houses this year, Civic Club only name two winners of the  Boo-Tastic Decorating awards.  You can really tell that Halloween is a favorite holiday for many of our Shenandoah residents!

The Steve Huhn house at 618 Blue Ridge is a perennial neighborhood favorite that has won previously for his dedication and love of the holiday.

Charley and Tonya Ballmer, 214 Hickory, also had their fair share of admirers in their first win.  The costumed couple was also a hit on Halloween night as they greeted trick-or-treaters.

Thanks to all who participated in Halloween decorating this year. The city looked amazing and we heard many great comments about the Halloween spirit.

We are looking forward to the Christmas decorations which will be highlighted in December by the Civic Club.
