ITEM 7: Equipment Replacement Fund Purchases - Routine procedure that is required to expend money from this fund. The police department has requested approval for the replacement of two bullet-proof vests. The water & sewer department has requested approval for the replacement of the current 8-year-old 1/2-ton truck which has major transmission issues. If there is any trade-in value, that revenue will revert back into the equipment replacement fund.  Council voted 5-0 to approve these purchases.

ITEM 8: New Full-time CVB Employee- For the past 18-months, the CVB has operated as a department of one while working with consultants through our strategic planning process. We have determined we need to hire at least one position and seek approval from Council to post a position at mid-year. The salary will come back to Council with other second-quarter budget amendments.  Council voted 5-0 to approve the posting of a second employee.
