ITEM 4: Monthly Cash Flow Report- As requested by MDD, staff has created a visual for a 5-year cash flow projection for the MDD as well as a monthly cash flow report for future agendas. The projection takes into consideration: 2019-2020 modified revenue projection from COVID, eligible projects per the Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) and allocated projects that are expected to start construction and complete in 2020-2021. Discussion only.
ITEM 5: Presentation of 2021-22 Budget Calendar- The proposed calendar for the MDD budget preparation was presented to the Board for review and discussion. The calendar outlines the schedule of completing the budget and providing it to City Council for their budget workshop. No action needed.
ITEM 6: Update on the Motor Control Center (MCC) Project - Bids were received on April 15 for the Water Plant #2 MCC Replacement project. McDonald Municipal and Industrial provided the lowest bid. The MCC is the original from 1984 and replacement was recommended by the city engineers. The project will consist of the replacement of the entire MCC system, relocation and purchase of an air compressor for the hydrostatic tank, installation of a new SCADA multi-smart controller, and blast and recoating of the hydrostatic tank. Information only; no action.
ITEM 7: Capital Improvement Plan Projects for 2021-22 - This is the first discussion on upcoming projects per the Capital Improvement Plan that was approved last year. Council and MDD will meet for a joint meeting on May 26 to discuss funding. This agenda is also an opportunity for the Board to recommend any other budget requests. Discussion only.
ITEM 8: Ratification of February and March Accounts Payable- MDD voted 4-0 to ratify the accounts payable.
