ITEM 12:  Resolution Establishing Minimum Standards for Hotels At an earlier meeting, Council asked staff to look into an ordinance that would regulate hotels to maintain a minimum level of service. The City Attorney has drafted an Ordinance for Council’s consideration that would require the following:  interior room access, a covered entry, and no exterior balconies within two hundred feet of any residentially zoned property unless they are located in an interior courtyard. Council voted 4-0 to approve the Ordinance.

ITEM 13: Water Projects with Possible MDD Funding-   Byron Bevers, President of the MDD Board, asked that Council consider whether they anticipate requesting funding from MDD for future water projects. Council recently adopted a water/sewer rate increase with the goal of allowing the water/sewer fund to be self-sustaining in order to fund capital projects and also to build reserves over a five year period, without being fully dependent on MDD.  Council voted 4-0 to table for a future agenda.
